"The Master of Business Administration (MBA) is a master's degree in business administration, which attracts people from a wide range of academic disciplines. The MBA designation originated in the United States, emerging from the late 19th century as the country industrialised and companies sought out scientific approaches to management." Getting a MBA will hopefully boost my qualifications and open up new interesting career opportunities. It's going to be a busy and interesting year that I'm really looking forward to. I will blog about the experience regularly.

hi there how are u? I have a question from you as someone who is currently an MBA student. I am 26 years old from Iran with a BA in Language and Linguistics. I have managed to get admission from Carleton University, Ottawa, Canada. I have a good self-confidence but my math is really bad. I can barely remember anything from the school days (we didn't have any math in university) but how bad I was at math in school. Can u give me a useful piece of advice plz? I am quite interested in MBA and I just have 3 months to the beginning of the program. thx in advance. i would come here and check for my answer.
Hi Babak!
I'm actually starting in September, so I haven't got to much experience from the MBA studies yet. But I do believe it would be smart of you to practise your basic math skills before you start. Most schools require you to take a GMAT test or some kind of math test before you get admission, so practice on the math you find there could be a good move for you. Alternatively you can check out your high schools math books.
Good luck!
